'm Victor Vieaux, a French-born architectural and interior photographer based in Melbourne, Australia, and working in Paris.

Before pursuing photography, I spent over a decade practising architecture, working with internationally recognised studios including JDS Architects in Shanghai, MVRDV in Rotterdam and Paris, and Hassell, Jackson Clements Burrows and Woods Bagot in Melbourne.

I love a good diagram, a compelling design narrative, and those deceptively simple details that resolve complex challenges. On site, I genuinely enjoy conversations with architects and designers about the thinking behind their projects, from clever insulation strategies to intricate construction details. I'm just as interested in the stories, challenges and decisions that shaped the design as I am in the finished result.

Having experienced the architectural process firsthand, I understand the complexities and intentions behind each project. This allows me to collaborate intuitively with architects and interior designers, translating their work into carefully considered imagery.

My photography combines architectural precision with an editorial sensibility, guided by natural light, composition and an appreciation for spatial relationships and materiality. From intimate residential interiors to large-scale civic projects, I seek to create refined visual narratives that capture each project's atmosphere and distinctive character while remaining faithful to its architectural intent.
